About Me

Marine Diagnostics offers experienced marine surveying services and engine inspections and service on most makes and models of outboard engines, gasoline inboard engines, and other vessel components on board. All of my work is performed to the highest in marine standards based on my 30 years of experience and training at authorized factory schools. I am proficient in identifying problems in outboard and gasoline inboard engines and other marine components. I can come to you no matter where you are in the South Florida area. As a marine technician I have the following qualifications:

  • Worked as a certified MerCruiser, Mercury, Johnson, and Evinrude mechanic
  • ITC Certified Level One Thermographer
  • Holds a USPAP Certificate on Appraisal Standards
  • Former USCG 100 Ton Licensed Master Captain (with towing endorsement)
  • Marine Radio Operator Permit
  • Graduate of the Chapman School of Seamanship (small craft and yacht survey course, damage claim course, and merchant mariner course) 
  • Experience in installations of marine 12 volt, 24 volt, 120 volt and 240 volt marine electrical systems
  • Experience in the installation of marine water heaters and potable water systems
  • Experience in the installation of marine radios and stereo equipment
  • Experience in the installation of marine navigation systems and radar
  • Experience in the repair of boat trailers
  • Experience in equipping vessels for proper required USCG safety equipment
  • Experience in the delivery of vessels in Florida and in the Caribbean
  • Certified Advanced Nitrox PADI SCUBA diver
  • CPR / First Aid trained
